How long does it take to redesign a website?

March 6th, 2010

When we are asked to take an existing website, give it a good shake-up, a new look, and sort a few issues out, one of the first questions we’re asked is: how long will it take?

That of course depends on a number of factors, but we can usually say ‘as fast as you want it’. It all depends on how far you want us to go and how well your previous design company put your site together. We’ve given quite radical treatments to websites in 24 hours before now.

In the case of the latest website to blast off from ‘Roodee’s Re-launch Pad’ it was a little over four weeks.

Our client, a Chester based independent publishing company asked us to create a new concept and add their existing content to it. In addition, we added some of our real world marketing know how and the result is a modern, fresh design and a more comfortable user experience.

We didn’t forget what the main purpose of the website is either. It presents exactly the impression our client wants to communicate, showcases their products and services, and it makes it easy for web visitors who arrive on it from Google to make contact.

Radio station website makeover complete

August 2nd, 2009

When Cheshire’s Silk 106.9 asked us to redesign their logo and give their website a revamp for their relaunch we jumped at the chance.

Our brief was to create a new website that will engage listeners, will support on-air marketing campaigns, and is quick and simple to update. We know web users love video on websites, so this one has lots of archived audio and video content along with a live audio stream of the station’s output.

Although most of the website build was carried out at our base in Chester, we were able to spend plenty of time on-site in Macclesfield collecting all the photos, video and written content we needed.

The presenters, news team and staff can update sections of the website via the simple to use content management system. Our full marketing services have been retained to support the website and generate content and graphics.

Logo design and corporate branding

The new logo design appears on the website, emails, newsletters, stationery, banner stands, car stickers and printed promotional materials
