New website for brand new Chester business

June 10th, 2010

Our client, a brand new Mobile High Rope and Activity Provider wanted more than just a new website. We were asked to dream up a completely new logo too that will stand out in the crowd.

The brief was to create a look that was exciting and edgy. So we did our homework and spent a long time with our client before getting busy, drawing up a concept that excited our client.

The bright red branding, with hand drawn vectors, fits the new website, the flags, gazebo, t-shirts, stickers, business cards and stationery set.

Page One Of Google Already

The website is already on page one of Google for it’s target keywords and is exceeding it’s initial traffic targets already, thanks to some efficient search engine optimisation. The site has a complete content management system, a full blog and is fully integrated with Facebook and Twitter. We also produced a Youtube web video.

Visit website.

Our client is delighted with the real business this website is already bringing in as you can see in this testimonial video.

Brand New Service Announced

January 31st, 2010

Over the last couple of months we’ve been working on ’secret missions’. We’ve kept it quiet and very close to our chest, but now we are ready to own up… We’ve been behind the Facebook and Twitter activity of some of Chester’s high profile businesses.

We’ve approached social networking in a different way to other web design companies who simply style a Facebook page to make it look a bit like your website… then leave. No visitors, no interaction, and no point.

The very reason why Facebook and Twitter are so hugely popular is that they are addictively interactive. Sure there’s a lot of inane chatter, but users also share useful info and links and they respond to interesting posts that catch their eye. Submit the right posts, attract responses and you’ll find your link being passed to an ever increasing number of users. Put up a page that is simply an ad for your business and you’ll wonder why you bothered.

Take the radio station for Chester, Dee 106.3. When we took over management of their Facebook account in Summer 2009 we grew the number of followers from a hundred to over 1,300 by introducing regular, relevant posts and useful content. How useful? Well word quickly spread in Chester when we posted school closure lists on their Facebook page as the city struggled with heavy snow in January 2010. Their Facebook link was passed from user to user.

That’s not the only benefit. The positive feedback suggests the station has scored points with existing listeners (and lots of new ones) who followed the links to the stations website, which is also enjoying record levels of traffic.

So what is our new service?

From now on, all of our websites that include blogs will also include free Facebook integration, and we’ll give you full instructions on how to use it. Of course we can also manage all of this for you if you choose.

A Twitter Horror Story

October 25th, 2009

There was something about a Twitter account that troubled us.

Registered before we became involved, it had our clients name, company logo, and ‘Tweets’ such as ‘We’re expanding’. It looked official.

A little detective work confirmed our suspicions. Someone completely unconnected with the business had registered the account and now wanted to ‘explore it’s value’. After a couple of weeks careful negotiation, the account has been transferred. It didn’t cost a thing either.

If you or your business is being impersonated, if your trademark is being used, or someone is asking for payment, goods or services in return for a (free) Twitter account in your company name, don’t hand a penny over. Just head over to Twitters help pages.

The lesson to be learned: No matter how insignificant you perceive Twitter to be, register your Twitter account before someone else does. Always be in control of your brand online.
