After 2007’s raft race was cancelled due to heavy flooding and a very swollen River Dee, Chester Raft Race 2008 attracted bumper crowds to the Meadows, The groves and The Weir. The weather was perfect, warm and sunny with little or no wind.

Roodee Web Design’s team romped home to glory, so congratulations to Charlotte, Ben, Phil and friends.

There were some amazing entrants, including a floating car, and lots of competing teams were armed with water cannons and water pistols.

It was great fun, and our fingers are crossed for another sunny Sunday afternoon’s racing next July!
