Imagine being on the receiving end of a phone call telling you that the business who built and hosts your website is going to cease trading in 2 working days. That actually happened to Tops Restaurant in Manchester, prompting them to seek help from the Heroes at Roodee Creative.
We jumped into action and immediately put an emergency contingency plan into place, securing the domain name, transferring email services, setting up a one page emergency site to keep the bookings coming in whilst a new, more powerful site was being plotted in the ‘situation room’.
Our priority was to keep our client in business on line and the website and email downtime to a minimum, which we achieved – in part due to experience of rescuing businesses from this scenario in the past, and from near dangerous levels of caffeine consumption.
So now, not only is the first Roodee Creative website for the restaurant live, but they have a new email database expanding faster than Sam’s waistline after all the business lunches we had and Tops took over 200 bookings in a week from our first Facebook ad campaign for them.
As a footnote, we want to thank the previous web design company and in particular their lead developer, for all of the help and co-operation in helping as much as possible in what must have been really difficult circumstances.
